Elementary School

Our elementary school program is where curiosity takes root and confidence begins to grow. From kindergarten through fifth grade, students at SAA experience an environment that’s both nurturing and academically strong, where learning feels exciting, and every child feels known and valued.

In these formative years, we focus on building the foundational skills that shape a child’s academic journey and personal growth. That includes not only reading, writing, and math, but also collaboration, creativity, and character.

A Strong Start in Reading, The LETRS Advantage

At SAA, we take reading seriously because it’s the gateway to all other learning. That’s why our teachers are trained in LETRS, Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling. This research-based program gives our educators the tools to teach reading based on how the brain actually learns it.

Whether a student is just starting to sound out words or already flying through chapter books, LETRS ensures every child receives the structured, science-backed instruction they need to grow into a confident, capable reader.

Learning That’s Hands On and Joyful

In every classroom, you’ll find students engaged in meaningful activities, working on group projects, exploring nature, asking big questions, and building things from scratch. Our curriculum covers the core academic subjects, like math, science, social studies, and writing, but we go beyond the basics to spark creativity and critical thinking.

From painting in art class to stretching in PE, our students stay active, expressive, and well rounded. We believe that learning should be an adventure, not just an assignment.

Character, Faith, and Belonging

At the heart of our program is a commitment to character and spiritual growth. Every day begins with prayer, and every week includes chapel and age appropriate discussions about kindness, purpose, and identity in Christ.

Our students learn to be compassionate friends, responsible classmates, and thoughtful young leaders. It’s not just about what they know, it’s about who they’re becoming.

See It for Yourself

Choosing the right elementary school program is a big decision. We invite you to visit our campus, meet our teachers, and see how our small class sizes, rich academics, and faith-filled environment come together to create something truly special.

Because at SAA, we don’t just prepare kids for the next grade, we help them build a foundation for a meaningful life.
